Part of Canterbury Road in Margate has been taped off following a report of a sexual assault.
Kent Police officers are carrying out enquiries into the incident, which was reported to have taken place near the seafront shelter at 5.20am today (March 28).
A 34-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and remains in police custody.
