Police investigating after woman knocked down in Ramsgate by a van

Police are investigating after a report that  a grey van  knocked down a woman in Ramsgate yesterday (April 28) but the driver and occupants left the scene.

A Kent Police spokesman said: “Kent Police was called by SECAMB at 4.18pm on Friday 28 April to reports of a collision between a grey transit van and a female pedestrian on King Street, Ramsgate.

” It is reported that people in the van helped the woman to a bench but then drove off.

“Police are investigating.”

The woman was taken to the William Harvey Hospital. Her injuries were not thought to be serious.
