Two arrested for theft in Margate

Kent Police officers who were out on patrol in Margate town centre have arrested and charged two people with theft.

The man and woman were detained at the scene of a theft from a motor vehicle in Pump Lane, Margate, on Tuesday 18 April.

Natasha Simmonds, 36, and Jack Smith, 38, both of Union Row, Margate, have been charged with theft from a motor vehicle and also charged with theft from a shop following an incident on Thursday 23 March  in College Walk, Margate.

They appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court via video link on Wednesday 19 April 2017 and both have been bailed to appear again at Margate Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 27 April 2017.
